VOICE LESSONS
If you’ve taken a look around the rest of this site, you know that singing is one of the biggest passions of my life. Another is going on a journey with others as, together, we explore, discover, and make the most of your own, individual, truly unique voice. I work with singers – and non-singers! – at all levels of experience, from those who have never taken a lesson or sung aloud except in the shower, to seasoned professionals refining their technique or preparing for specific roles or auditions. My philosophy is to meet every person exactly where they are, and tailor lessons for their specific voice, needs, desires and goals. Ultimately, I work with people to understand and love their own voice through vocal exploration and techniques designed to enable them to sing any style of music in a healthy, long-lasting way.
I specialize in classical vocal technique and repertoire for RCM exams, university auditions, professional auditions, recital/concert work, and role preparation. I teach Broadway / musical theatre, coaching for auditions and roles, and offer non-singing sessions in general audition and career preparation. Separate lessons for adult beginner piano and beginner music theory can also be arranged.

One of the most exciting moments of my professional life so far was when I sang ‘O Canada’ for a Seattle Seahawks game at QWest (now Lumen) Field. To this day, I’ve never sung for so many thousands of cheering people!
As a professional singer, I am privileged to work with some of the best and brightest talents in the world. I hold a Bachelor’s in Music and Voice Performance from the University of British Columbia, and continued my studies at the Banff Centre for the Arts (Certificate in Music Theatre); the Britten-Pears School for Advanced Musical Studies (Aldeburgh, England); the Opera Studio of the American Institute of Musical Studies (Graz, Austria), and continual on-going professional development. I am a faculty member of the Music Diploma program at Capilano University and a member of the BC Registered Music Teachers Association. For more information about me, click here.
My teaching studio is located on the west side of Vancouver, BC, the traditional, ancestral and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish), and səl̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. I am grateful to live, work and learn on these lands which have been stewarded by these nations since time immemorial.
I also teach anywhere in the world via Zoom or Skype.
